  this is a forum of people seeking refuge from bullying, taunts, oppression and mind games.. how do you heal such wounds if your own brothers-in-banishment treat you with cold, heartless contempt?.

  it doesn't cost any poster here one shiny penny to be respectful when disagreeing with their wounded comrades.. there is really just no excuse, in my opinion for getting personal.. .

  personal means actually naming a person and referring to them in a way that provokes a defense on their part to a perceived insult.. a general statement such as "the rich" or "the poor" or "democrats" or "republicans" is quite different from a statement about "joe", "mary", "jose" or that places them in a disparaging context.. example: "republicans are racist" is quite different from "joe is racist.

  Terry. Amen. Since the time NE and I have been lurking, and then posting, we have noticed a very noteable change in attitudes, I have even sent a PM to a poster and stated, this site was not what I thought it was, it has changed!

  We've also noticed that no matter what topic you bring up and post, it is either 'hijacked' or someone has to bully and treat you like an idiot because of your beliefs and ALWAYS has to have the last word, but unfortunately us newbies don't get the 100 posts allotted to us like these ones you're talking about.

  I'm on board with your idea, because personally, I do not have the personal time to sit all day long and prove points because I work 7 days a week.

  Ok EVERYONE- want to know who is going to be reading this website and others?

  while everyone has been bickering back and forth, i decided to do something positive to move forward.

  as most of you know back in jan our family marked us as apostates and started shunning us.. so i wrote to all of my congress-people and told them what is going on with the jw's.

  i told them how they are breaking up families, teaching the children intolerance, etc.

  That's the thing Gayle, There are child abuse laws in this country. I also know that growing up a JW myself that the fear they instill about the big 'A' is traumatic. It would give me nightmares. And I know the Government of the U.S is watching several groups because of what just happened in Boston.

  PLUS, I know for a fact, that the WTBT$ is on the F.B.I radar because of a friend of a friend.

  I don't know if it's real or not.

  But I know from a local historian that it has broken off from some Anasazi ruins at the top of the mountain which date back Pre-America. But unfortunately the University of New Mexico cannot date it because thanks to some helpful Boy Scouts back in the 30's/40's went up there with wire brushes and cleaning chemicals and cleaned all the Lichen off of the rock.

  I don't want to argue, especially with a moderator of this site, because they'll just kick me off and ban me. I just wanted to post some interesting articles because, along with my wife NE, we're sick of hearing about AAWA.

  Maybe we just need to take a break from this site for awhile.

  But if you read the magazine article below the video, you would see that the professor said it is actually a combination of Moabite-Greek-Ancient Phoenician and done in a Paleo-Hebrew script.

  Didn't know Hubby had signed me out and himself in but.....I only posted this to try and make some of the members on here aware that it's not just JW's & ex-JW's that visit this site.

  I also don't expect the U.S government to suddenly turn on WTBT$. I don't expect ANYTHING! I did it for ME! For therapy.

  So Talesin, put that in your pipe and smoke it!

  Better daze: I'm having a difficult time finding that psychologists article again because I cannot remember how to spell her name. But i will keep looking and PM it to you.

  Un-friending JW Facebook Friends-Therapy

  it may sound harsh but i am finding it therapeutic to unfriend my jw friends today on facebook.

  i just can't live in the past anymore.

  so sick of the drama, spying and having to pretend to be something i am not.

  that is what Newly enlightened and I also did. So many little secrets are exposed on face book if you are not carefull. And we no longer wanted to be all excited about their "GREAT" door to door exp. Or their trips to Mexico, or where they went racing this weekend. I would much rather spend that time with quality people,.
